Mint Snowball

Mint Snowball is written by Naomi Shihab Nye. Mint Snowball has a very interesting first paragraph, it is all written in sentence fragments. In the first part of the story she tells us how lovely this snowball is, but at the end she tells us that this could be her meaning to life and is sad that she might never find it.
The mood change is defined by a significant space in between paragraphs 3 and 4. This narrative uses a great choice of words. The choice of word helps shape the voice of the story, and the voice of the story shows the reader a mood. This story has a clear voice throughout the story. If I was the person without the snowball, I would try to recreate it somehow and make it better.
